Customer Service Accessibility Policy
Assistive devices
We will train our staff to be aware and familiar with assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities. Examples include a wheelchair, walker, oxygen tank, screen reader, and hearing aids.
Communication
While communicating with people with disabilities, we will take the greatest care to ensure we are taking into account his or her disability.
Service animals and support persons
We welcome those individuals who are accompanied by a service animal or support person. All areas that are open to the general public will be accessible. There will be no charge to customers accompanied by a support person.
Temporary disruptions
Notice of Temporary Disruption will be provided by posting a notice at the dealership when we are not able to offer all services for people with disabilities. We will include the reason for disruption, length, and a description of alternative services if possible.
Examples include notice that an accessible washroom is out of order and when it is expected to be available again, or that the main dealership entrance is under repair but is accessible through the service entrance.
Training
Training will be provided for all existing employees and will be ongoing for new employees. Positions that require training include the BDC Group, Reception, Service Counter Staff, Parts Counter Staff, and all Sales personnel.
New employees will be provided with people with disability training as part of the new employee package, and all training will be tracked.
